It’s been a long week. It all started Tuesday at 4:00 a.m. when my daughter, Asia, who is 1 year 9 months, began vomiting and continued to do so every 20 minutes until 9 in the morning. Her pediatrician gave her a couple of shots that afternoon. Later that night she began to throw up again and wasn’t taking in many liquids. We finally had to take her to the hospital because she was very lethargic. She had no energy or appetite.

Once in the ER , getting an IV was very painful for her, and she cried at the top of her lungs but was so dehydrated that she didn’t even shed a tear. After blood work, it was determined that Asia had an infection in her stomach. So we ended up in the hospital a total of 3 nights 4 days. A couple of the nights Asia would wake up in the middle of the night either dry heaving or vomiting due to the lingering infection. Her appetite is slowly returning as well as her thirst for liquids. Asia is almost back to herself; I would say she’s 99 % of the way. I know it was the prayers of everyone that pulled her through. Thank you all who were praying for her.

So now there’s the matter of the medical bills. Many of you remember that we are uninsured missionaries; therefore, this cost is considerably high for our pocketbook. Thankfully it’s nothing like our last hospital bill from Asia’s birth and NICU care. We believe that God is going to provide for this bill as well.
